The Meany Center for the Performing Arts, operating in the University of Washington’s Meany Hall, is seeking an artist or group of artists to expand its current Northwest Art Collection to reflect the rich contribution of Coast Salish design and culture to the arts of our Northwest coastal region.
The inclusion of a new artwork helps to recognize Meany Hall’s location on the land of the Coast Salish Peoples. The artwork will be located in the mainstage lobby of Meany Hall. A proposal for original art or description of an existing artwork is accepted. The selection process will begin with a submission of proposal, and may be followed by invited site visits for project finalists.
