Dear Meany Center Friends and Patrons:

Due to the unprecedented crisis facing our region, we regret to announce that Meany Center has canceled all performances and events for the remainder of our 2019-20 Season. We made this difficult decision in accordance with recommendations from local, national and public health authorities to help slow the spread of COVID-19, and in compliance with the University of Washington’s suspension of non-essential operations through the spring quarter.

As disappointing as this news may be, we emphasize that the health and safety of Meany Center’s family — our staff, guest artists, volunteers and patrons — is our top priority. We are committed to do our part to keep our community safe.

NOTE: If you still have unresolved tickets to any of the canceled performances, we are holding the value of your tickets on account through May 31, 2021. For questions about ticket options, contact the ArtsUW Ticket Office at

Contacting the Ticket Office

The ArtsUW Ticket Office is not currently available for in-person transactions and phone times may vary. Our staff is processing a large volume of orders which results in a longer processing time — they will get back to you as soon as they can.

Now more than ever, you can make a world of difference

The sudden and unexpected deficit of so much earned revenue has a very significant impact on Meany. Our theater is dark, but you can help turn the lights on as we continue working towards next season and beyond.

Here are ways you can help:

While the future feels uncertain, we remain optimistic that together we will get through this crisis. And when we do, Meany will be here to welcome you back.

On behalf of our staff and our artists, I want to thank you for your ongoing support. We look forward to seeing you at Meany in the months ahead.
