AnDa Union

A Seattle debut, AnDa Union’s 10 singers and instrumentalists from Inner Mongolia describe themselves as music gatherers, digging deep into the Mongol traditions of Genghis Khan’s unified tribes and unearthing forgotten musical treasures. This vibrant young ensemble combines different musical traditions from all over Inner and Outer Mongolia to create a new form of music performed on indigenous instruments and sung in the khoomii, throat-singing, style.
