Described as “one of the busiest pianists on earth” by London’s Evening Standard, Angela Hewitt regularly performs in recital and with major orchestras throughout the world. Her many awards include induction into the Gramophone Hall of Fame, a Companion of the Order of Canada, the Governor General’s Lifetime Achievement Award and an Order of the British Empire at the Queen’s Birthday Honours. Her pristine musicianship demonstrates how she is “one of those rare musicians who seem to get something into their heads and hearts and find it at their fingertips instantaneously” (The New York Times).
The paramount quality of Angela Hewitt’s piano playing is the joy it communicates.
