The Juilliard String Quartet delves into the wonders of the string quartet literature with irrepressible energy and unceasing curiosity. During its 75-year tenure as the string quartet in residence at The Juilliard School, the storied ensemble has embraced its mission “to play new works as if they were established masterpieces and established masterpieces as if they were new” in a vibrant combination of the familiar and the daring. They will present their distinct perspective on music by Beethoven and Dvořák, along with a contemporary view of Beethoven by composer Jörg Widmann.
