Updated July 15, 2020
With reopening guidelines for large events still uncertain in the state of Washington, Meany Center has determined we will not be able to present our fall 2020 performances as originally scheduled. We have moved some events later in the season and are planning virtual programming options for many impacted performances. (See below for details of impacted events.)
We remain hopeful that performances from January to May will take place, although social distancing measures will limit ticket capacity to 340 seats per performance until King County is in Phase 4. To accommodate physical distancing, seating will be general admission and there will be no reserved seating. The best way to guarantee tickets for an event is to subscribe to a Full Series package.
Meany Center is working with the University of Washington and public health professionals on additional safety protocols for live performances that will be in place when we are able to return to in-person performances. For up-to-date information about UW plans for addressing the novel coronavirus, visit the UW COVID-19 Facts & Resources page.
We are collaborating with our artists to develop new ways to engage with our audiences through digital formats. Some of these virtual programs may include digital broadcasts, interactive artist conversations and unique learning opportunities. As our plans come together, we will share them on this website and via email. If you are not on our email list and would like to receive updates, you may sign up here.
