What is Meany Center doing to keep patrons safe?

To ensure the safety of our audiences, artists and staff, we are adding new protocols that include enhanced cleaning, PDF ticketing, ticket scanning at the door, and may include social distanced seating. We understand best practices in these protocols will continue to evolve and determine our actions. Prior to performances, we will communicate our operational protocols on our website and directly to all patrons by email. Will events be socially distanced?

Some performances may need to be socially distanced for patron safety and comfort. We are planning for full capacity performances, but if conditions change, we will notify you in advance of events by email and will post updates on our website and social media channels. Your safety and that of our artists and staff are our top priority. 

In the event of socially distanced performances, seating may be limited. Renewing subscribers have first priority for seats in date-received order. We recommend subscribing early for the best chance to secure seats.

Can I purchase a Choose Your Own Series package?

Due to the possibility of limited seating capacity for socially distanced performances, we can only offer Full Series packages at this time. Choose Your Own Series packages will be available this fall and the on sale date will be announced later this summer.

If you are a Full Series subscriber and purchase a Choose Your Own Series package or single tickets instead of renewing into a Full Series, we cannot guarantee that we can seat you in or near your regular subscription seats for the 2021–22 Season.

When can I purchase Subscriber Extra Tickets?

Subscriber Extra Tickets will go on sale quarterly, with fall events available on September 7. On sale dates will be announced on our website, social media and via email.

I have credit on account from canceled events? Can I use it to purchase my subscription?

If you have credit on account from canceled events, you may apply it to your subscription order, donate the credit or use the credit toward the purchase of a gift certificate. You may also request a refund. To see your credit balance, renew or subscribe online to access your account details. Credits expire on May 31, 2022.

If social distancing is required, will I keep my same seats?

Your seats for any socially distanced events may be different from your regular seat location. Seating will be in pairs to ensure social distancing. If there are more people in your party, we will seat everyone by pairs in closest proximity possible. Individuals will not be seated with other parties unless requested.

If your order includes people from multiple households, and you need to sit in separate groups, please contact the Ticket Office with your request. 

If you require special accommodations for socially distanced shows, our Ticket Office staff will work with you to make alternative seating arrangements.

In the event that we are unable to seat you in a socially distanced performance, your tickets may be exchanged or refunded. Exchanges will be available starting in the fall. All seating options are based on availability and are at the discretion of the Ticket Office.

Will I be able to renew into my same seats if there is no social distancing?

Full Series subscribers that renew into their same series will keep their same seats for all events in their subscription package that do not require social distancing.

Can I change my seat locations?

Seating upgrades are not available this season but will return in future seasons. ​

If I don’t renew this year, will I lose my seats?

If you don’t renew this season, we will hold your subscription seats for next season but will release this season’s seats for sale to single ticket buyers.

When will season tickets be delivered?

Your tickets will be delivered approximately one month prior to your performance by mail or emailed as PDF tickets, depending on the preference you select when ordering.

Can I have my season tickets held at Will Call?

Will Call for ticket pick-up will be limited and will need to be arranged directly with the Ticket Office. As an alternative, we are now offering emailed PDF tickets.

Will Meany continue to provide free digital content?

Virtual programming will continue throughout the season with artist creative process conversations and other free digital events. When possible, Meany Center will also provide free livestreams to ticket holders who are unable to attend their ticketed performance. (Livestreams may not be available for all events.)

If I can’t attend a performance, will it be available to watch from home?

When possible, Meany Center’s events will live streamed free as a courtesy to ticket holders who are unable to attend their ticketed event. Links to the livestreams will be emailed on request prior to the performance.

How do I make sure I get notified of any changes to programs, protocols or seating?
