Campus
Inspiring the next generation of creative thinkers: The arts help students make intellectual leaps, forge interdisciplinary connections, understand multiple perspectives and adapt to rapid change. Meany Center supports creativity in UW students and faculty in a variety of ways.
Youth
Introducing young audiences to the arts: Our FREE Student Matinee program gives Seattle area students — many on their first trips to the UW campus — a one-hour, interactive Meany Hall performance.
Community
Engaging communities: Meany’s visiting artists continue to connect with communities on and off campus. Meany Center will announce participatory events — including K-12 in-school residencies, community workshops, conversations and celebrations —on our website and with our local partners throughout the year.
Artistic Partner
For the 2024–25 Season, musician, MacArthur Fellow and Artistic Director of the Silkroad Ensemble, Rhiannon Giddens joins Meany Center as Artistic Partner, curating The Transcendence of Cultural Connections, five performances that feature artists who cross borders, cultures and time.
