Oct 27

Performance Dates

  • Thu Oct 27 2016 7:30 PM

The Calidore String Quartet, one of the most acclaimed and sought after chamber ensembles of their generation, has been heralded as “the epitome of confidence and finesse” (Gramophone Magazine) and “a miracle of unified thought” (La Presse, Montreal). The Quartet made international headlines in May as the grand-prize winner of the inaugural M-Prize International Chamber Music Competition, the largest prize for chamber music in the world. This year they were also named a BBC New Generation Artist and became the first North American ensemble to win the Borletti-Buitoni Trust Fellowship. The Quartet has also begun a three-year residency with Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center Two.

The Calidore String Quartet concert replaces the previously scheduled Heath Quartet concert. Heath Quartet tickets will be valid for this performance.
