Martha Redbone Community Concert

This 45-minute performance will be followed by a short reception and conversation about Art, Activism, and Education with Martha Redbone.

The "charismatic indie-soul diva" (Time Out New York), Martha Redbone, is an Independent Music Award-winning musician of Cherokee, Choctaw, Shawnee and African-American descent. Redbone explores traditional and modern variations of folk, roots, blues, tribal and soul that feature her magnificent voice. Redbone brings a wealth of cultural and musical traditions that speak to the Northwest's own multicultural background. Performance is part of week-long residency in Seattle public schools and at the UW.
