Unmute the Voices: Jeremy Denk & Dr. Quinton Morris

Pianist Jeremy Denk discusses race, repertoire and uncomfortable conversations in classical music with the host of Unmute the Voices, Dr. Quinton Morris, a Seattle-based violinist, chamber musician, educator, entrepreneur, filmmaker and Classical KING FM’s Artist-Scholar in Residence.

Jeremy Denk is one of America’s foremost pianists, proclaimed by The New York Times “a pianist you want to hear no matter what he performs.” Winner of a MacArthur “Genius” Fellowship, and the Avery Fisher Prize, Denk is a Meany Center favorite, performing most recently in April, 2022. His memoir Every Good Boy Does Fine was published by Penguin Random House in March 2022.

Unmute The Voices is a radio show and video series celebrating people of color in classical music. Produced in partnership with Classical KING FM and Quinton Morris LLC, Unmute The Voices radio show airs the third Saturday of the month at 3 p.m. Pacific time on KING FM, with encore broadcasts of the previous episode the preceding Wednesday at 7 p.m. Pacific.
